On this guided tour, we glide peacefully through untouched pine forests on forest skis. Their wide shape carries you smoothly over soft snow, allowing you to move quietly through the landscape. The silence of forest skis brings you closer to nature. With a bit of luck, we may notice fresh tracks in the snow or even spot wildlife moving between the trees.
No previous skiing experience is required, though it is helpful. These ski’s work almost like snowshoes, main difference being that downhill parts are more effortless and more fun. Your guide will show you how these wide skis work, so you can move with confidence and ease through the winter forest. This is not about speed. It is about travelling the old way, gently and respectfully, just as the ‘väärti’s’ once did.

It is not about the weather, but about the clothes.
We want to make sure you stay warm and safe so we’ve included a complimentary clothes package for your stay.
Yes. It is required that you carry your driving licence with you when driving a snowmobile. The information contained in a foreign driving licence must be in the Latin alphabet and indicate the right to drive or there must be a translation of the information by a reliable party, such as an authorised translator, into Finnish, Swedish, English, German, French or Spanish.
Our prices are based per person with 2 people sharing one snowmobile unless otherwise stated. If you wish to drive your own snowmobile on a safari, you can purchase a single drive supplement. This is per person and added to the price of the safari. You can purchase this suplement when booking any snowmobile safari.
Besides the thermal clothes, boots, gloves and hat we provide for you it helps if you have your own thermal underwear and a good fleece sweater. The colder it is the more layers you should wear.
Husky and snowmobile are not suitable for pregnant women or persons suffering from back, hip, leg or wrist problems.
